Edie, Physiotherapist and Personal Trainer at Move & Mend
About Me

Hi, I'm Edie.

Hi, I'm Edie, I am a qualified Physiotherapist and Personal Trainer. I created Move & Mend because I wanted to combine the knowledge and experience I've gained in both professions to support people in a way that feels realistic, caring and empowering. Working within the NHS has shown me firsthand just how important strength, mobility and fitness are — not only for performance, but for recovering from illness or injury, managing long-term health conditions, and maintaining independence as we get older.

Whether you are training for a specific sporting goal, rebuilding confidence after injury, managing a long-term condition, or simply wanting everyday life to feel easier, my focus is always the same: helping you build a strong, resilient body that supports the life you want to live.

Movement has always been a huge part of my life, though I didn't grow up feeling naturally confident in traditional sport and fitness environments. I found my love for movement through horse riding and the open moors of Devon — and that connection to the outdoors has never left me. My perfect day still involves a long walk along the South West Coast Path with my two dogs, Arlo and Milo, ideally ending with a pub lunch and a spritz in the sunshine!

These days I'm a “bit of everything” person — resistance training, running, road cycling, Pilates and HYROX — but my approach to fitness has become much more balanced over time. I value movement for how it supports my wellbeing, my energy, and my future health as much as for performance. A big part of what motivates me is thinking about “future me” — staying active enough to enjoy the things I love for as long as possible. That perspective shapes how I coach others too. Health and fitness should fit around your life, not take you away from it.
